Aurélien Pradié formalizes his candidacy for the Republican presidency
Republican Secretary-General Aurélien Pradié formalized on Monday in Le figaro his candidacy for the presidency of the party to “rebuild” “people’s rights” and avoid a “war of the leaders”. “I want to have the right to speak about everything, about every concern of the French, and that it speaks to everyone, from the humblest to the beneficiaries,” affirms the number 3 of LR, leaning on members who “don’t not want to repeat yesterday’s games, yet another war of leaders”.
The Lot MP will face his colleague from the Alpes-Maritimes Éric Ciotti, who takes a hard line towards the sovereign, and the head of the LR senators, Bruno Retailleau, from the conservative, in the first round of this election scheduled for December 3rd wings . “With Éric and Bruno we respect each other”, but “their candidatures are similar”, adds the 36-year-old MP, assuring that his “is different”.
LR “in mortal danger”
“We are now in mortal danger” and “we have to change everything: the name, the headquarters, our organization, our embassy,” assures Aurélien Pradié, who “wants to take over the break, also with Nicolas Sarkozy”.
Often suspected in his own camp of being on the left, he calls himself “far right” and refers to “the republican promise” and the “demand for emancipation”. But beyond the social aspect, he represents concrete ideas on immigration, in particular making “all residence permits on probation” for three years and creating “a specialist court”.
Regarding ecology, “an economic, social and moral priority,” he promises “a broad debate on the water issue.” “I will open the debate on the hyperconsumption society,” he adds, specifying “always reject degrowth”.
He also advocates pension reform “based on the annuities paid” and a large increase in teachers’ salaries “in exchange for more teaching time”.
Regarding Laurent Wauquiez’s candidacy for the 2027 presidential elections, which Éric Ciotti wants to register from early 2023, Aurélien Pradié says to himself: “I’m not sure it’s a service to expose our future candidate to nuclear fire from January .” . “Our presidential candidate will need neither a courtier nor a competitor,” but “a loyal party leader to complete him and mobilize an army: that will be me,” he promises.
