Beauvais. Complaint filed after a homophobic attack, the perpetrators still wanted
A new assault occurred last weekend in the Saint-Jean district. A 19-year-old young man was allegedly attacked by a dozen individuals on the night of Saturday July 23 to Sunday July 24. The motive for this attack appears to be the supposed sexual orientation of the victim.
An investigation was immediately opened even before the victim filed a complaint. Contacted, the prosecution announces this Thursday evening, July 28, that “investigations are continuing for the purpose of identifying the perpetrators”. They have therefore not yet been arrested.
A complaint filed by three people
Finally, the young man attacked, but also his brother and their cousin, present at the time of the facts, went to file a complaint at the end of the day this Wednesday, July 27. According to Caroline Tharot, public prosecutor at the Beauvais court, the victim’s brother was also beaten up. Their cousin was insulted.
