Beauvais. “It’s not even for comfort, it’s just to pay the bills”, the strike continues at AGCO
This Friday, July 8, the strike resumed for the employees of the various AGCO sites in Beauvais. Since Wednesday, they have been demanding a salary increase and denouncing the management methods of their management. This time, they left the factory to place themselves in the avenue Blaise-Pascal, filtering at times the comings and goings in the company.
“It’s not even for comfort, it’s just to pay the bills“says William Stocksieker. The representative of the UNSA union is not surprised that the anger of the employees has finally burst. He denounces the failure of leaders to listen to the exhaustion of workers and the sharp rise in the cost of living.
At least €70 for low salaries
According to the unions, negotiations have started but an agreement has not yet been reached. “They proposed a 2.5% increase. But it’s good for high earnerssums up William Stocksieker. So that employees with the lowest incomes can also find their account, the unions are demanding a floor increase of €70. Which has not yet been accepted this Friday.
The rest will depend on the negotiations. But the workers say they are ready to continue their movement on Monday July 11 if necessary.
