Beauvais. Paul-Langevin high school students awarded for their emergency shelter

A tube and a facade. When you don’t know anything about building construction, this emergency shelter may seem basic. But make no mistake, these 1st STI2D high school students have developed treasures of ingenuity. And their shelter found favor in the eyes of inspectors and professionals in the field. The jury ranked their project in 2nd position in a national competition.
Supported by their teachers, the headmaster, the deputy director of professional and technological training Olivier Griffoin and his assistant, these young people produced a model and a presentation worthy of the pros.
Thanks to the prefabricated materials chosen, the emergency shelter for high school students is very quick to build. This is a major issue during natural disasters. Because that is where it is used. When many habitats are destroyed, this shelter is made to take over by offering the necessary comfort to accommodate the population in a reduced space and in a minimum of time.
