Bresles/Bailleul-sur-Therain. Caroline Cayeux challenges Minister Christophe Béchu against the Greater Paris waste storage project
On July 21, the elected representatives of the Beauvaisis agglomeration council voted against the installation of a Greater Paris waste landfill. This project, led by the Bonnevie company, is to create an inert waste storage center in the municipalities of Bresles and Bailleul-sur-Thérain.
To oppose the project, the elected officials of the agglo highlight the inconveniences to come for the residents, but especially for nature. In particular, they are calling for studies to measure the faunal, floristic, environmental and heritage impact of this project.
In addition to the motion, Caroline Cayeux alerts the government. For this, she did not need to go very far. The letter was sent to Christophe Béchu, Minister of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion. Even if Caroline Cayeux signs with her label of president of the agglomeration council, Cristophe Béchu is her supervisory minister within the government.
It would therefore be very surprising if he ignored this request. The passage of the mayor of Beauvais to the government could therefore, here, have a direct impact on the landscape of Beauvaisis.
