Champion of low prices, Dacia sells 15% less than Citroën

Cheap cars, an infallible recipe! Dacia once again saves Renault. The Romanian brand increased its registrations in the first half of the year by 6% (to 278,000 units), while the Renault brand reduced them by 16.5% (to 717,000). The triumphalism of the low-cost subsidiary of the French group contrasts with the shame of the parent brand. This Tuesday, Dacia is indeed announcing its growth from the first line of its press release on commercial results. While Renault only mentions the fall in its performance in the 46th line of its own, in small print. Dacia thus increased its market share by 0.8 points to 3.9% in a market down 14.6% in Europe and around the Mediterranean. Dacias represent 28% of the Boulogne-Billancourt group’s total sales.

A price, a price, a price
