COVID-19: 14 new deaths

The latest figures from the public health of Quebec show 14 new deaths related to COVID-19 and a decrease of 27 hospitalizations across the province.

In detail, there are 2,109 hospitalizations, including 716 due to COVID-19, a decrease of 27 compared to the previous day.

Fifty-seven people are in intensive care, 27 of them due to COVID-19. This is a decrease of 10 compared to the previous day.

In the health network, 4910 health workers are absent for reasons related to COVID-19.

In addition, 1013 new COVID-19 cases have been registered across the province, according to the government’s assessment. It should be noted that the number of cases listed is not representative of the current situation, since access to testing centers is reserved for priority clientele.

Recall that from August 15, a new dose of COVID-19 vaccine will be available for people in CHSLD, those who reside in RPA, and all vulnerable people living in a collective environment, said yesterday Dr. Luc Boileau, national director of public health of Quebec.
