COVID-19: hospitalizations and deaths on the rise

According to the most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, for the past 24 hours in Quebec, the province has reported 2,221 hospitalizations, including 753 due to COVID-19, an increase of 73 compared to the day before. In addition, 25 new deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours, for a total of 15,916 deaths.

Currently, 65 people are in intensive care, including 35 due to COVID-19, an increase of four from the previous day.

There are 6,478 healthcare workers absent for reasons related to COVID-19.

In addition, 1,780 new cases are added to the number of people infected in the province, which represents a total of 1,142,427 people infected. Remember that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centers is restricted to priority clienteles.

With regard to vaccination, 9326 doses administered are added, for a total of 20,296,654 doses administered in Quebec.
