COVID-19: slight decrease in deaths and hospitalizations

The latest figures from the public health of Quebec show 19 new deaths related to COVID-19.

There were 2,102 hospitalizations, including 714 due to COVID-19, an increase of 64 compared to the previous day.

Currently, 55 people are in intensive care, 32 of them due to COVID-19. This is a decrease of three compared to the previous day.

In the health network, 4,343 health workers are absent for COVID-related reasons.

In addition, 1,211 new COVID-19 cases have been registered across the province for a total of 1,159,087 infected people, according to the most recent government assessment. It should be noted that the number of cases listed is not representative of the current situation, since access to testing centers is reserved for priority clientele.
