Temperatures are rising again in France and it’s going to be hot. 38 departments have been placed on heat wave orange vigilance. From Brittany to the Alpes Maritimes, via the Gironde. From Sunday July 17, heat records are expected in these territories, with a heat peak scheduled for Monday July 18.

Oise is not one of these departments. He is one of 58 others whose alert threshold is “only” yellow, at least until Sunday. Nothing refreshing though. Forecasts from Météo France suggest a strong surge in the thermometer.

The sultry nights of July 18 and 19

If, on Sunday, the maximum should be limited to 29/30 degrees in the southern half, they should reach 35 degrees, especially in Beauvais and Senlis. As for Tuesday 19, it could be the peak with a mercury at 36/37 degrees over the whole of the Oise.

The nights of the 18th and 19th are likely to be sweltering with temperatures above 20 degrees. Thunderstorms are also expected in the west of the department in the evening and in the northeast overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday.

All this without taking into account the risks incurred for people who are more sensitive to heat or those related to fires in agricultural plots.

Below, the Météo France forecast from Sunday July 17 to Tuesday July 19:
