It was logical and expected. Météo France placed, this Sunday, July 17, the Oise in heat wave orange vigilance. This, after being placed on yellow alert the day before. The territory is part of a batch of 51 departments placed at the same level of concern until Monday 6 to 4 p.m. With a risk that they will go on red alert afterwards, like the 15 in the greater West Atlantic area, from Brittany to the Basque Country, currently placed under this regime.

This Sunday, the temperatures are between 29 and 30 degrees throughout the department. The night should be relatively warm, between 16 and 17 degrees.

For Monday 18, Météo France has revised its forecasts upwards. Highs are expected to be 35 to 37 degrees, down from the 34/36 originally forecast for Saturday. The night from Monday 18 to Tuesday 19 should be between 22 and 24 degrees.

Finally the heat wave peak is confirmed for Tuesday with a mercury between 37 and 38 degrees in the afternoon. Showers are expected on a small western half and thunderstorms on the rest of the Oise, during the night. Temperatures should reach or even exceed 20 degrees in Clermont, Compiègne, Noyon and Senlis.
