Leaving Chantilly, Hugo wants to reach the North Cape by bike!

Pedaling for a good cause: this is the challenge Hugo Nihouarn set himself during confinement. It was a year ago. A year spent refining his beautiful project which became a reality this morning with the departure from Chantilly. “The idea is to offer dreams to sick childrensummarizes Hugo. For this, we have joined forces with the association of little princes, which has already made 8,000 children’s dreams come true.»

Passionate about tennis, Lucie was able to meet her idol, Caroline Garcia. But there are still many dreams to be realized, such as that of Aaron who wishes to meet the French football team in Clairefontaine…

A month-long journey

These dreams, Hugo – who will be accompanied for a few days by Emmanuel and all those who wish to share a few kilometers with him – will have them in mind throughout the 4,164 kilometers that his journey must last. It will cross six countries: France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark and Norway. All in thirty days.

“I’m ready, both physically and logistically,” says the young man, sharp as ever. And that’s good, because many obstacles await him before he reaches the North Cape, the end of his fabulous crossing. During his journey, which should last a month, he knows he can count on his friend Ludovic who makes the trip by car. He will also be able to count on the comfort of many acquaintances who will closely follow his adventure.

This Sunday, July 10, many of them gathered close to the Château de Chantilly to encourage him. Among his supporters, we could note the presence of the mayor, Isabelle Wojtowiez. Like others, the chosen one wanted to do a few kilometers with Hugo. “I am in awe of the challenge he intends to take up“, admits Isabelle Wojtowiez. She who likes to run and pedal knows what she is talking about…
