The four leaks affecting the Nord Stream gas pipelines in the Baltic Sea are due to underwater explosions equivalent to “hundreds of kilos” of TNT, according to an official report from Sweden and Denmark presented to the United Nations on Friday. “The strength of the explosions was measured at 2.3 and 2.1 on the Richter scale, which probably corresponds to an explosive charge of hundreds of kilos,” the two Scandinavian countries said in a statement to the Security Forces Council meeting on the subject on Friday in New York at the request of Russia.
