Orange: 0.5% increase in operating income (EBITDAaL) in the 2nd quarter, supported by Africa/Middle East
PARIS (Reuters) – Orange on Thursday reported a slight rise in its second-quarter benchmark operating profit, up 0.5% from a year earlier, as strong growth in its Africa/Middle East division offset the decline in activity in France and Spain.
EBITDAaL reached 3.31 billion euros over the period, a figure in line with the average of the 14 analysts’ estimates polled by the company.
Second-quarter revenue decreased 0.4% on a like-for-like basis to 10.7 billion euros. Orange confirmed its objectives for the full year, in particular an increase in basic operating profit of between 2.5% and 3%.
He indicated that he would propose a dividend of 70 euro cents per share for the 2022 financial year, in accordance with what was planned.
