Saint-Aubin-en-Bray. Patrice Dufour elected mayor by the city council
There are people in the hall of the municipal council of Saint-Aubin-en-Bray, near Beauvais, this Friday evening July 29. And for good reason: the elected officials, gathered in an emergency, must elect a new mayor after the resignation of Marie Doisneau.
Three of them presented themselves to his succession: Norbert Philippet, Christian Courtois and Patrice Dufour, the 1st deputy. Unsurprisingly, it was Patrice Dufour who was elected with nine votes. He who is investing for the first time in politics during this mandate was particularly moved and warmly thanked his council. Christian Courtois gets three lanes and Norbert Philippet, two. There was also a blank ballot.
Christian Courtois resigns
This new mayor does not please everyone on the council. Immediately after the announcement of the results, Christian Courtois stands up and announces, visibly annoyed: “I take this opportunity to tender my resignation. Thank you and goodbye.»
He then left the room without looking back. The new mayor said to himself, surprisedof this decision. Which is not the case for everyone in the village. Some residents still criticize a lack of consultation between the different currents of thought in the municipality.
Noémie Pellieux and Sylvain Betourné new assistants
After the election of the mayor, the municipal elected officials voted again to choose a first and a second deputy. Noémie Pellieux and Sylvain Betourné were elected, in that order.
And, since the ex-mayor has left all his functions within the municipality, a new councilor has joined the list of elected officials. This is Sandrine Leblond.
Below, the reaction of Patrice Dufour, after his election:
