After the heat wave, here are the storms, but also the violent winds. Even if the temperature should drop in the Oise from this Tuesday, July 19 in the evening, the department remains on the alert orange heat wave. This, until Wednesday, July 20, 4 p.m. To this are added two new alerts, yellow, for the two other types of bad weather.

Météo France had been predicting for several days that a storm was to hit the Oise after the peak of the heat wave on Tuesday. A sudden climate change, which forecasters explain by a change in air mass. Storms should last a good part of the night, while strong winds should be limited to a shorter time slot.

In the middle of the afternoon, the temperatures recorded in all the areas on storm alert were very high and “consistent with what was expected“. They ranged between 38 and 40 degrees over the entire area with peaks at 41°C. Beauvais notably ended up with a temperature of 40 degrees.
