(Reuters) – Twitter shareholders have voted in favor of Elon Musk’s $44 billion acquisition of the social network, the San Francisco-based company announced on Tuesday.
Elon Musk, founder and CEO of Tesla, withdrew from the agreement to take over Twitter at the beginning of July and accused the company of violating its contractual obligations by providing incorrect or incomplete information about the number of fake accounts.
The social network has denied these allegations and filed a lawsuit against Elon Musk for violating the acquisition agreement.
