Vocational school in distress: the numbers that kill
Unions agreed on Tuesday 18 October to go on strike against the vocational school reform promised by Emmanuel Macron in the presidential campaign and launched next Friday by his minister for vocational training, Carole Grandjean. While some fear the increase in internships envisaged by this new reform, others already regret the number of general education hours made available to students. Some, more piquant, attack the minister more openly, like Pascal Vivier of Snetaa-FO: “The problem of the vocational school is not the students, it is not the teachers. The problem at the vocational school is Carole Grandjean!” So much for the buzzwords.
