War in Ukraine: EU agrees on new sanctions against Moscow

In view of the ongoing war in Ukraine, the member states of the European Union agreed on a new round of sanctions against Russia on Wednesday. A symbolic decision as last week Vladimir Putin advocated the annexation of four Ukrainian regions.
European Union member states on Wednesday agreed on a new round of sanctions against Russia after annexing four Ukrainian regions, the Czech EU Presidency announced. The agreement was concluded at the level of the Ambassadors of the Twenty-Seven. The names and organizations targeted by these new sanctions are due to be published in the EU’s Official Journal on Thursday, diplomats said.
