Why Patrick Drahi takes over SFR
The consistency of the facts is interesting. On Tuesday, August 23, UK authorities gave their approval to Patrick Drahi’s rise of up to 18% in the capital of historic operator BT, after a three-month investigation. As the news broke, an internal email announced the surprise fall of SFR CEO Grégory Rabuel. Officially, this departure was planned, organized and corresponds to a cycle change in company life. In reality, it is the result of a serious takeover by Armando Pereira, historical partner of Patrick Drahi, a specialist in restructuring operations. Doubtful: lack of results, especially in public relations, whose boss Fabien Costa also pays the price for this big cleanup.
