Women’s Tour de France: an incredible glide and a collective fall

Dutchwoman Marianne Vos won the second stage of the women’s Tour de France on Monday July 25. But this victory is far from having marked the spirits. All attention was focused on the fall that occurred between Meaux and Provins, about twenty kilometers from the finish. Several competitors fell. The Italian Marta Cavalli has tried to avoid them. But that was without taking into account the arrival at full speed of the Australian Nicole Frain: she mowed down the rider of the FDJ-Suez-Futuroscope team before hitting the bikes on the ground and leaving in gliding flight.

Considered one of the favorites of the Tour, Marta Cavalli has tried to get back on the road. Until the doctors decide to arrest her and transport her to the hospital. She suffers, among other things, from a head trauma.
